(High Moisture Resistant MDF)
PDF Copy
Robin HMR V313 MDF (High Moisture Resistant Medium Density Fibreboard) utilises melamine urea formaldehyde resin to enhance its phycial properties to meet the stringent V313 cycli test, in order to provide a suitable product for use in high moisture conditions
Main Application : Kitchen cabinets, skirtings, mouldings, architraves, shelving, bathroom vanities and wash tub areas.
Not suitable for exterior application or exposure to water and prolonged high humidity such as saunas or shower cabinets.
Wet Cyclic Test (V313)
A Wet Cyclic Test (V313) consists of a three cycle accelerated ageing treatment followed by strength testing.
Conditioned test samples are immersed in water at 20 degrees Celsius for 3 days (72 hours), frozen at -12 degrees Celsius for 1 day (24 hours) and oven baked at 70 degrees Celsius for 3 days (72 hours).
This 3 days immersion, 1 day frozen and 3 days heated cycle is carried out 3 times (total 21 days) and then followed by post conditioning and physical testing based on test methods specified by EN 622.
